Winter 2026 "Art of the Stroke" Juried Exhibition
Theme
The theme of The Art of the Stroke exhibition is a play on stroke , the movement that rowers use to propel their boat forward as well as variety of strokes that artists use to transform a flat surface to a dynamic visual experience.
The goal of the exhibition is to celebrate the art of rowing and its nautical landscape as well as the strokes used by artists to create form, texture, and mood, be it the wet stroke of a brush, a dry stroke of pastel, or the precise measured stroke of a pencil or pen.
